House of O (Hiroshima prefecture)
- Door with acrylic / Living room shoji
- Yaeurabana-kikko(Multi-flower and tortoise shell)
- Red cedar / Acrylic / union casting lever handle
A concrete built house, over 30 years old. Genuine materials showed beautiful aging in the Japanese room, like the traditional “Saobuchi” ceilings made with precious red cedar. We redid the door to that room.
The pattern used here is one of the most time consuming designs we make. “Yae” means “many”, and the kumiko is very decorative with many features, gorgeously lighting the room.
